On
November 2nd, China's independently developed first 270000 cubic meters
of liquefied natural gas storage tank was put into operation in
Qingdao, which is also the largest liquefied natural gas storage tank in
China. Its operation has greatly improved the natural gas supply
guarantee capacity in North China.
The first 270000 cubic meter
liquefied natural gas storage tank in China is located in Qingdao,
Shandong Province, with a diameter of 100.6 meters and a height of 55
meters. The tank space can accommodate a domestic C919 large passenger
aircraft. It is currently the largest, fastest construction speed, and
first completed ultra large liquefied natural gas storage tank in China.
With
the rapid growth of natural gas consumption in China, the construction
of infrastructure such as liquefied natural gas receiving stations is
accelerating. Thanks to the improvement of design and construction
technology in China, receiving stations are developing towards ultra
large capacity. The production of 270000 cubic meters of liquefied
natural gas storage tanks has added 165 million cubic meters of gas
storage capacity to the Qingdao liquefied natural gas receiving station,
which can meet the gas demand of 2.16 million households for five
months during the heating season.
